A Saudi woman has appealed for help so she will be treated abroad from elephantiasis which has pushed her weight above 300kg, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Fatima Al Matar, 51, said she is suffering from breathing difficulty and has been bed-ridden for a long time because of her heavy weight.
“I can’t move because of my weight and swelling legs. When I need to see the doctor, several workers from the Red Crescent come together to lift me into the ambulance,” the woman from the Northern Saudi town of Arar told 'Sharq' newspaper.
“I appeal for all benevolent people to help me get treatment. Doctors here told me treatment of my case is available in Germany.”
