A Yemeni petrol pump worker who found SR150,000 (Dh150,000) while cleaning a car waited for its owner to come back and handed him the money.
Akram Mahyoub was asked by the pump manager near the capital Riyadh to take care of the car while its Saudi owner was away for shopping, 'Ajel' daily said.
“He found the sum in the car. He waited for its owner to come back and gave him the money,” the Arabic language newspaper said.
“The owner was surprised by the worker’s honesty. He told the pump manager that another expatriate worker could have immediately fled the country with the money,” it added, without mentioning whether the worker was rewarded.
