Video: Kuwaiti marks first baby with fireworks outside hospital

A Kuwaiti man went out of the way to celebrate having his first baby after 17 years of marriage by lighting the night sky with fireworks over the hospital where his wife delivered, a newspaper reported on Thursday.

The Arabic language daily Al Anba said the father bought a large quantity of fireworks and headed straight to hospital after he was told his wife delivered a baby boy.

The paper carried a short film broadcast by the Saudi satellite news television channel Al Arabiyya, saying its presenter Suhair Al Qaisi, an Iraqi, could not help laugh on air while reading the report on the fireworks.
