Woman dumps fiancé after filming him headbutting dog

Nina Mandin, from Rio de Janeiro, set up secret cameras in her home after noticing her two French Bulldogs were acting withdrawn.

She was horrified to learn her husband-to-be, identified by local media as Rafael Hermida, had been abusing her pets and swiftly called off the engagement.

The upsetting footage shows Hermida suspending one dog by its hind legs before swinging it around and throwing it to the floor.

He is also seen headbutting the dog before it scrambles to safety, terrified.

Footage and images have since been posted online.

Hermida is reported to be under investigation. It is not known at this stage whether criminal proceedings will be filed.
