Woman delivers baby at airport's toilet

A young Saudi woman delivered a baby boy at Mumbai International Airport’s toilet on Tuesday afternoon.

Travelling from the Indian city of Hyderabad to Saudi capital Riyadh, the 20-year-old woman went to the airport’s toilet where she suddenly went into the labour.

On hearing her cries for help, a housekeeper called the emergency team which helped the woman to deliver a healthy baby boy at the airport’s toilet.

Following a safe and careful delivery, the mother and the boy were shifted to a private hospital near the airport for post-natal care.

An official told Mid-Day newspaper that the mother and the baby are fine.

The young woman was reportedly accompanied by her mother, brother and sister at the airport.
