4 UAE soldiers martyred in Yemen

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces has announced the death of four of its brave soldiers in Aden during their participation in the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, in Yemen.

The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces extended its condolences to the relatives of the martyrs, praying to Almighty Allah to rest their souls in eternal peace, and bestow patience and solace on their families and relatives.

Sources and eyewitnesses have said that explosions on Tuesday, which targeted the headquarters of the Yemeni government and a number of military forces affiliated with the Arab coalition, resulted in the death of 15 of its servicemen along with a number of Yemeni resistance personnel.

The sources added that there are also a number of different injuries among the personnel.

Civilians among victims of operation in Aden

The General Headquarters (GHQ) of the UAE Armed Forces has announced that a number of civilians from different nationalities, who were performing logistical services as part of Yemen re-building projects, were among the victims of the operation which targeted some locations in Aden on Tuesday.

A series of explosions hit the city of Aden on Tuesday caused by missiles launched by Houthis militias and ousted Saleh's forces.

The missiles targeted several locations in the city, including the headquarters of the Yemeni government in the Palace Hotel, and a number of military forces affiliated with the Arab coalition, led by Saudi Arabia.

The Arab coalition forces are in the process of verifying information about injuries caused by the missiles.

Anti-Houthi Yemenis rally at UAE Embassy in London

Meanwhile, hundreds of members of the Yemeni community in the UK have rallied at the embassy of the United Arab Emirates in London to show support for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates and the Saudi-led Arab coalition undertaking operations to restore legitimacy to their country.

The Yemeni demonstrators waved the flags of the UAE and Saudi Arabia, held up placards bearing pictures of the leaders of the UAE and Saudi Arabia and shouted slogans against the rebel Houthi group and militia loyal to the ousted president Ali Abdullah Saleh for wreaking havoc on Yemen and carrying out terrorist, murderous and destructive acts against the Yemeni people.

Firas Al Yafea, head of two pro-coalition campaigns to thank the two Gulf countries, and editor-in-chief of Yemeni media organisation 'Al Hakika Press', stressed that their efforts to liberate Aden from the rebel militia will always be remembered by the Yemeni people.

He added that the demonstration shows gratitude to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, and the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan of the United Arab Emirates, for their efforts to save Yemen from the terrorism being perpetrated by the Houthis and their ally, former president Saleh.

Fawaz Hanbala, co-ordinator of the campaign supporting the UAE, said the demonstrators took to street to thank all those who conducted 'Operation Decisive Storm' that saved Yemen from the brutal, flagrant and wrongful  aggression.

Abdul Rehman Al Mutaiwee, Ambassador of the UAE to the UK, received members of the #ThankYouUAE campaign.
