Even though the world is obsessed over when new-mommy Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will finally make a comeback on the big screen, it does appear that the green-eyed beauty is in no hurry to take the big plunge. Well… not yet.

Although there’s the intention of getting back to the movies, with the actress admitting that she has started reading scripts, the deadline for her comeback has not been set.

“I’m finally reading scripts. There are several offers but am slowly getting around to reading scripts now,” she had revealed to the Indian media.

It now appears that actress is extremely choosing about what she plans to do.

After being appointed the UNAIDs brand ambassador earlier this year in New York, it is evident that Aishwarya wants to focus more on social and humanitarian causes.

In fact, earlier this month she visited a Mumbai hospital on World Aids day to spread spread awareness about the killer disease.

Even a week before her daughter’s first birthday, she and her actor-husband Abhishek had celebrated Children’s Day with a bunch of underprivileged kids.

Devoid of any designer wear, Ash was seen sporting a plain T-shirt and jeans, and entertaining the young crown at the event.

“She was much relaxed and chatty,” recalled a media photographer.

Movies, clearly, have taken a backseat.

For a lady who has been obsessed about making her mark in the film industry, this new makeover is refreshing.

“It’s not something she hasn’t done before. But she claims to have more time to focus on such pertinent issues,” a source explained.

“She wants to step away from the glamour industry and genuinely wants to make a difference.”

But some insist that Aaradhya needs to be credited for this makeover.

“I am honoured to accept this appointment. Spreading awareness on health issues, especially related to women and children, has always been a priority for me. And now, as a new mother, I can personally relate to this––the joys and concerns of every mother and the hopes that we have for our children,” she had said after being appointed the UNAIDS brand ambassador.

Earlier, Ash had refused to step out for any public event for months after Aaradhya’s birth.

She was reportedly busy playing out her mommy duties and wasn’t interested in returning to the world of glitz and glamour.

It was for her role as the Longines brand ambassador that she landed in the emirate for the Dubai World Cup.

Then, there was her underwater shoot for a jewellery brand and her customary red carpet walk at the prestigious Cannes film festival.

All these appearances, however, got noticed mainly for her rounder figure and her obsession in covering up her baby girl.

Those reports have finally died down, mostly because Ash has toned down, and she unveiled her baby at a public event that was hosted to honour her with a prestigious French civilian award for her contribution to art.
