Adnoc to hire people for aviation fuel sector

Adnoc Distribution, which operates a network of petrol stations and convenience stores across the UAE, is looking to hire people specialised in fuel distribution in the field of aviation to better cater its customers at the UAE airports, said a senior official.

Khalid Hadi, Vice President Marketing and Corporate Communication Division at Adnoc Distribution, said: “Adnoc Distribution is keen to expand specialised human resources pool in the field of aviation services, to maintain best- in-class fuel distribution across the company’s facilities in the UAE’s key airports.”

Hadi didn’t disclose how much the company plans to expand its specialised human resources pool in the aviation sector.

Abu Dhabi-based petroleum products distribution firm hosted a workshop for the first time at the company’s training facility at the Abu Dhabi International Airport to enable its employees to qualify as international inspectors in aviation fuelling services.

The workshop saw participation of 16 representatives of global blue-chip companies engaged in the aviation fuelling services domain, in addition to employees from the Aviation Services Division at Adnoc Distribution.

Participating employees are set to qualify as international inspectors in aviation fueling services at airports.

Adnoc Distribution’s employees presented a live fuelling operation drill during the workshop to the high-profile audience comprising industry experts from participating companies. The workshop reiterated the need to organise training events on an ongoing basis towards achieving the highest international standards of quality and safety in the aviation services industry.
