Dubai Trade and Dar Al Takaful sign deal

In line with its commitment to foster the cargo insurance facilities, Dubai Trade, the cross-border trade facilitator, has signed an agreement with Dar Al Takaful to provide the marine and cargo insurance services through its online platform Tradeshield which was launched earlier this year.

The agreement was signed by the CEO of Dubai Trade Mahmood Al Bastaki, and Saleh Al Hashmi, Managing Director of Dar Al Takaful.

Jamal Majid Bin Thaniah, Chairman of Dubai Trade, said: “Dubai Trade focuses on providing the best and wide-ranging e-services to the trade and logistics community in Dubai and allows clients to easily complete the end-to-end process of purchasing cargo insurance online through its website.

The selection of Dar Al Takaful was based on its experience and efficiency in providing insurance services that serve the business community and also represents a quantum leap in providing a unique range of services to Dubai Trade clients.

Saleh Al Hashmi, Managing Director of Dar Al Takaful, underscored the company's pledge to support and assist the local organisations to further improve their services which in return will have a positive impact on the region’s economy. He also expressed his delight for signing this agreement which represents a promising opportunity for strategic partnership, through which Dar Al Takaful shall provide its professional personnel experience and knowledge in this field.

He added: "We shall adapt all our resources to offer Dubai Trade highly advanced services through our state of the art facilities in providing online services for marine and cargo insurance, align with the articles of this agreement to deliver the best services to fulfill the needs of Dubai Trade's clients".
