How small UAE businesses can get 'free' laptops, smartphones

UAE telecom operator Etisalat has announced that its Business Quick Start service now offers small and medium businesses (SMBs) in the UAE a wider range of free latest devices and high-end office equipment at zero upfront cost and easy-instalment options.

Etisalat launched its Business Quick Start service in 2014.

Part of the telco's Business-in-a-Box solution for SMBs, this bundle offers the basic essentials for businesses to get started: high-speed fixed broadband internet, free national and international voice minutes and free devices – such as laptops, tablets and smartphones – on a single, converged bill.

A range of latest office and personal devices have now been added to this one-of-a-kind bundle which includes printers, projectors, smart signage TVs, desktops, routers, switches and more from globally renowned brands and manufacturers.

"At Etisalat, we understand the most important needs of our SMB customers – value for money, convenience and simplicity," said John Lincoln, Senior Vice President, SMB at Etisalat.

"The free bundled devices and zero upfront in easy instalment plans from the range of high-end devices caters to their opex model and reduces the burden on their capex costs. It helps our customers better manage their business costs, cash flow and monthly budgets, which are critical success factors for start-ups as well as established SMBs," he added.

Etisalat's solution allows SMBs to choose from several payment options like 0%, 25% or 50% upfront and balance on easy monthly instalments.

Depending on the package subscribed, customers can also opt for additional devices with these lucrative payment options on a 24- or 36-month contractual basis.
