India-based real estate developer Tata Housing has announced the inauguration of its international office in Dubai to meet the growing demand from consumers in the region.

In a media statement, the developer said its Dubai office "will further strengthen its global presence, in addition to existing international offices in the Maldives and Sri Lanka".

The company also announced a limited period 'Happy Returns' offer to celebrate the opening of its international office for NRIs.

Under the scheme, a non-resident Indian (NRI) customer will get between 72,000 and 1,000,000 Jet Privilege Miles on the purchase of a home across the firm's projects in India.

"With the opening of our Dubai office, the company will reach out to NRIs who constitute more than 30 per cent of the population in the UAE," said Brotin Banerjee, CEO & Managing Director, Tata Housing.

“The Gulf market has witnessed rapid strides in the past decade with Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) contributing to more than 50 per cent of our international sales," he added.

He noted that NRIs contributed between 15 and 20 per cent of the company's total sales, and said that he expected this to increase to 25-30 per cent in the next 3-4 years.

The company said it is developing large townships and differentiated theme-based projects in major and mini metros in India. The homes it offers range between Rs12 lakh (Dh69,000) to Rs14 crore (Dh8.05 million).
