Child found chained at Saudi building

Residents going to mosque for prayers in Saudi Arabia were shocked to find a two-year-old boy chained to the gate of a building.

The residents phoned the police, who took the child to hospital for examination after he was chained to the door for several hours in the Southern Jazan province.

Police, quoted by Ajel newspaper, said relatives of the boy had left biscuits and juice with him and that they could have tied him while they were away.

“Police are searching for the boy’s relatives, who have been away since Monday..the boy has been sent to a child care home,” the paper said.
