Drunk bites off co-worker’s ear lobe

A drunk Indian construction work bit the ear of his co-worker leaving him without an earlobe.

He received nine months in jail for alcohol consumption and physical assault charges.

The victim who was also reported with alcohol in his blood was ordered to pay a Dh2,000 fine.

While AM, 36, was in his room in the accommodation on August 8, his co-worker LS, 32, entered the room and was very drunk.

“I asked him to wait at the door to go and get the guard. He jumped at me and bit my ear,” said the victim.

The security guard rushed to the place as he heard screams of the victim.

“I saw the victim was bleeding from his ear. While his attacker was running away in the corridor. I called the police who came and rushed the victim to the hospital and arrested LS,” testified the guard.

LS admitted told prosecutors that he saw the victim in the accommodation and following a dispute he punched him several times on the face and so he fell down.

“I got up and bit his ear,” he told prosecutors admitting to his crime.
