A Filipina housemaid has been accused of stealing Dh100,000 from her employer’s house, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

According to prosecution records, MKB, 28, stole cash during her stay with her employer.

Saeed Rahim, 39, Iranian manager, testified that the accused worked as a housemaid for his family at the Palm Island.

"My wife and I noticed cash missing but we did not suspect her as we enjoyed a good relationship. On October 10, we decided to mark our money.

"Two days later I discovered Dh2,000 missing from my wallet. Then my wife noticed her Dh3,000 was also missing. We searched the maid’s purse and we found the marked notes with her. She confessed to stealing a total of Dh100,000 during her stay with us,” he testified.

The accused also confessed to the crime before the Prosecution. The court adjourned the case until December 18 to bring her from detention.
