Baby falls into detergent bucket at RAK home

An eight-month-old fell into a bucket filled with detergent while his mother was cleaning the house in Ras Al khaimah but he was saved, a newspaper reported on Tuesday.

The mother was cleaning another room when the baby climbed up the bucket to look into it and lost his balance, the Dubai-based Emarat Al Youm said.

The unidentified boy was rushed to Saqr Hospital after swallowing some of the bucket’s contents and doctors said they managed to save his life.

“He was brought unconscious to hospital but his condition has now improved. The incident was a result of negligence by his family,” a hospital source said.
