A drunken welder with the help of fugitives allegedly attacked a pedestrian and tried to snatch his wallet and mobile, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
ZAA, 23, is also accused of consuming alcohol.
The victim MAF, painter, testified that on May 2 at around 10pm he was going to his friend’s house near the Gold Souq in Naif Area.
“Three people who looked drunk assaulted and beat me up and then attempted to snatch my wallet from my pocket. I resisted and pulled my mobile and called the police. They tried to escape but I managed to catch one of them with the help of pedestrians till the police arrived,” he testified.
Forensic reported that the victim sustained minor injuries. The court adjourned the case to September 3.
