Brown belt kicks her driver to jail

A Pakistani driver who attempted to rape a Karate brown belt who used her skills to run away from him, received three years in jail.

The Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance also ordered HK, 23, to be deported after serving his jail term.

On November 22, 2015, at around 10.30pm, AN, went with some friends to a hotel in Al Rifaa area to attend her friend’s birthday party.

The victim went with driver HK to buy flowers when he attacked her – he punched her in the face and tore off her shirt, and cut off her golden necklace.

The attacker started his car and ran away with the victim’s bag, which contained different currency, mobile phone, passport, and ID card and other belongings.

The victim walked to the main road, took a car, and went to her friend’s house.

She went with her friend to the police and reported the crime.

The victim told the police that the attacker did not have time to remove his dress as she punched him in the face while he was trying to tear off her dress.

She told the police that she had been a regular visitor to Dubai and she trusted the driver.

Police reviewed the hotel’s outer CCTV footage and identified the attacker.

Police noticed that the accused was at the hotel a while before the arrival of the women.

He was captured getting into and out of the hotel’s reception several times.

The accused claimed that he asked the women to have sex with her for Dh500.

He claimed that she agreed on that and so they went to his car.

When asked about the victim’s handbag. He denied stealing it but said that he found it in his car after he drove away.

Death by discipline: Dad has sentence reduced

The Nigerian father, who assaulted to death his 12-year-old son and was sentenced to ten years in jail by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance, has his sentenced reduced to three years by the Appeals court.

The Appeal court upheld deportation of ZA, 37, after serving his jail term.

The father admitted that he used the stick in beating up his son.

DNA tests also proved that ZB was not the biological father of the boy who carried his name.

10 years in prison for drugs

Sharjah Criminal Court, presided over by Judge Dr. Yacoub Al Hammadi,  sentenced two Asians to be jailed for 10 years and fined Dh50,000 after which they will be deported, after a large amount of heroin and opium was seized from them.

They were seized in an ambush by the anti-narcotics team in Sharjah, behind the livestock market in the Al Jubail area. Another man also was arrested and sentenced with the same penalty.
