Dubai Metro molester gets 3 months + deportation

An Indian worker was found guilty of groping a woman on the escalator of a Dubai Metro station and was awarded three months in jail.

JK, 26, was also ordered by the Dubai Criminal Court of First Instance to be deported after serving his jail term.

According to the records, the 40-year-old Indian woman was on the Jebel Ali Metro station escalator when she realised that the worker was unnecessarily getting closer to her.

“I got angry and turned towards him. During this I lost my balance but did not fall. He grabbed my right hand but I quickly pulled back. Then he groped me and I shouted. People gathered around us and the police was called,” she said.

JK denied the charges when appeared before the court and said that he slipped on the escalator.

“I slipped and lost the balance and bumped into her. On the impact, I quickly held her hand to help her not to fall. I did not intend to molest her,” the accused told the jury.
