Ajman Police arrested an Arab and an Asian national who cheated people by convincing them that they have the ability of doubling money.
Colonel Abdullah Saif Al Matrooshi, Director, Department of Criminal Investigation, Ajman Police, said, the department was acting on a complaint received from a victim, who claimed that the duo promised him $5,000 in return for Dh300.
Police raided their place and caught the duo red-handed. Cops confiscated huge amounts of black papers from the suspects, which they used to swindle clients by claiming they were dollars.
The duo confessed to their crime.
They have been referred to Public Prosecution.
