An Emirati man was found dead at his home in the eastern town of Kalba after he was stabbed in the back of his head, a newspaper reported on Monday.
Sharjah police rushed to the scene after receiving reports that the 62-year-old man was apparently murdered at his home in Akoula neighbourhood.
The Sharjah-based Arabic language daily Alkhaleej said the man, who lives alone, was stabbed three times in the back of head.
Emirati girl tries to end life with Brufen pills
An Emirati teen age girl in Fujeirah tried to commit a suicide by taking a large amount of Brufen painkiller pills but she was saved by doctors at a local hospital.
Relatives rushed the girl to the Fujeirah General Hospital in a serious condition after she swallowed the tablets in a bid to end her life.
Police who questioned the girl later said she tried to commit a suicide because of persistent rifts with her family.
