I was raped thrice by mall attendant: 10-yr-old boy

A 25-year-old Filipino attendant allegedly sodomised a 10-year old boy at Mirdif City Centre three times before the boy told his mother, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The victim, ARF, testified before the prosecution that for 20 days he went to Mirdif City Centre at around 7pm to play with his brother and cousins.

One day, the accused spoke to him and bought him three toys. Initially he refused to accept them.

"But he insisted and I accepted them. Then I returned to play with my cousins. He followed me to the ball area and talked to me and asked me to accompany him. He took me to another hall and misbehaved with me," the boy testified.

According to the records, the salesman repeated the crime three times on different days. The boy told his mother only after the third time. The boy's father, RMF, testified that his son did not inform him as he was afraid of the accused. "I lodged a complaint with the police after questioning the accused at his workplace,” he said.

Meanwhile, witness Alaa Hmoud testified that the accused refrained from answering the boy’s father who confronted him.

The salesman has been with the city centre for about a year and he was assigned to offer games to customers.

Forensic reports support the boy's claims. However, FSN denied the accusation in court.

The case is adjourned to November 22.
