Maid, gardener molest employer’s 3 kids

A housemaid and a gardener allegedly molested three children of their employer for a year and also asked them to molest one another, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Tuesday.

The accused MQA, 35, Filipina and AAJ, 39, Pakistani, molested their employer’s seven-year-old son and two daughters aged between one and six years who were kept in the maid’s custody.

AAJ, 35, Emirati housewife, testified that her sister-in-law told her that she saw a picture of her daughter on the mobile phone of her maid and asked her to delete it.

“I called my maid to ask her how my daughter’s picture was on the mobile phone of the maid of my sister-in-law. She answered that she had taken the picture. I asked her to hand me over her mobile phone but she refused. Then I threatened her that if she did not give me the mobile, I will notify the police. When I insisted, she looked scared and I became suspicious.

“The next day morning, I tried to get some information from my son. I was shocked to hear from him that the maid was sexually molesting him. More shocking was that she molested my one-year-old daughter.

“When my husband returned from work, we notified the police. I was in a state of shock and kept on asking my children every day to know what maid was doing with them. The boy and the elder girl told me that the maid had an illicit relationship with the gardener in her room in the presence of the children,” testified the mother.

The children told their mother that the maid used to threaten to burn them with matches if they refused to obey her. They were subjected to molestation for about a year.

“I noticed some redness on the private parts of the children now and then. I thought that was because they do not know who to clean themselves properly despite the fact that I had taught them. I never imagined that they were being subjected to molestation. I also found many mobile phones with her and enquired about their source, but she used to tell me that these were gifts to to be sent  home. The last mobile she claimed to have got from the gardener,” testified the mother.

Prosecutors heard the testimony of the boy KM, 7-year-old student, who said that he was also asked to grope the private parts of the two accused in addition to that of his two sisters. “I did not tell my parents, being scared of the maid who used to beat me,” he said.

His sister RM, student, repeated the same testimony.

The court will reconvene on February 10.
