An Indonesian housemaid in Dubai aborted her baby with the help of a cleaner and waited for nearly 10 hours for the infant to die before she buried him.
The prosecution accused the 30-year-old maid of premeditated murder by failing to save her own baby who was still alive hours after abortion.
A Bangladeshi cleaner was also accused of “practising medicine” by helping the maid abort her infant while three other Indonesian maids were also charged in the case for assisting in the abortion and burial.
“She waited for nearly 10 hours until the infant was dead before she buried him with the help of other maids in the back garden of her room,” the semi official 'Al Ittihad' newspaper said on Wednesday.
