Man fined Dh50,000 for sending lewd text to youth

The Dibba Fujairah Criminal Court fined a young man Dh50,000 for sending lewd and explicit messages via WhatsApp to another young man, reported an Arabic newspaper.

The two had met when the victim had gone to meet the accused for a job interview.

The victim's father filed a police complaint saying that the owner of a private company had been sending lewd messages to his son. The dad also claimed in his complaint that the man was trying to 'seduce' his son.

The accused was summoned for questioning and he confessed his crime and accepted that he was the one who was sending the messages to the victim.

The Dibba Al Fujairah Police reffered the case to the Public Prosecution.
