Man on visit visa gives medicals for friend afflicted with hepatitis

An Indian visitor allegedly posed as his friend to take a blood test as the friend is affected with hepatitis, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

On April 10, at around 1.15pm, the visitor, SS, 23 went along with his friend RJ, 30, who has been offered a job as a salesman.

The visitor pretended to be the salesman and got all the documents including a medical test application of his friend together.

When the medical staff checked the documents, they noticed that the pictures on the documents were not of the same person sitting in front.

“I called the security staff who came and seized him,” said the medical staffer RR, Indian.

The visitor admitted that he posed his friend and attempted to give his blood sample because his friend is afflicted with hepatitis.

The friend who was waiting for the visitor at the reception was also arrested.

The court will reconvene on June 2.
