RAK murder: Arab suspects nabbed within 2 hours

Ras Al Khaimah Police has arrested two suspects within two hours of finding a dead body thrown outside the emergency section of a hospital.

Police identified the arrested youths as OKB, 21, and JSM, 26, both Arab nationals. The murdered person was identified as PKM, 24, a Gulf national.

Colonel Ali Abdullah of RAK Police said police was informed by a government hospital of a dead body lying outside its emergency door.

The identity and nationality of the dead person was first determined and then the identities of the suspects, Col. Ali said.

Brigadier Mohammed  Al Nubi Mohammed, deputy commander of RAK Police, said the first accused had stabbed the victim in the chest during a quarrel under the influence of narcotics. The second accused then helped him to put the corpse of the victim in a car, drove to a hospital, threw the body in front of its emergency door and fled.

Police said the main suspect has confessed to the murder.

In a statement, the Interior Ministry said that the investigation is still under way to know the motives and causes of crime.
