Reckless driving leads to Emirati's death in Al Ain

A 38-year-old Emirati man was killed in a car crash on Wednesday night while driving on Umm Ghavia road in Al Ain.

The police patrols rushed to the accident. The authorities said high speed driving led to the fatal crash. The deceased was identified as MSS.

The police said, "Due to the high speed, the deceased was not able to control the car which led to the driver hitting his car to a palm tree. The man died on spot."

The body was transferred to Al Ain Hospital, reported Al Khaleej newspaper.

Meanwhile, First Lieutenant Awadh Sultan, the investigating officer in the branch of serious incidents, said that high speed is the reason behind the vast majority of serious accidents which lead to death and injuries.
