Sales exec forges 26 SIM transactions

An Indian sales executive allegedly forged documents of 26 SIM card transactions and activated the service with a telecom service provider, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.

The telecom provider was asked by the Telecom Regulatory Authority (TRA) to check on some mobile numbers issued by them.

“Checking on the numbers we found out that they were all used by Asians and that some of the holders had a number of SIM cards that had been issued to them on the same day. Checking on the sales executive, MR, 27, we found out that he was from an outsourced company and had the authority to activate SIM cards.

Checking on the applications we found out that they did not carry the customers’ signature, so we lodged a complaint against him,” testified TA, employee with the telecom provider company.
