A court in the eastern port of Khor Fakkan sentenced an Arab salesman to six months in prison and ordered his deportation from the UAE on charges of molesting a Filipina customer at his women clothes shop.
The girl had told court the man made vulgar moves while she was trying a dress on at the shop in the city, Al Khaleej daily reported.
The court handed down its sentence after the man confessed to the molestation charges.
Cash machine thieves caught on camera
Two men who used a fake visa card to steal Dh15,000 from a bank cash machine were arrested by police in Ras Al Khaimah after they were caught by the machine’s security camera, a newspaper said on Tuesday.
Police seized the two after the bank supplied them with the film showing they used a counterfeit visa card in their robbery.
A criminal court in the northern emirate ordered further investigation into the case, which could involve a third culprit.
