Sharjah house used as 'niswar' tobacco factory

The two Pakistanis arrested by Sharjah Police for running a tobacco product making unit in their house. The machine used for making the products is seen also seen.

Sharjah Police have arrested two Pakistanis for operating a machine at their house to make 'niswar' - a  product containing tobacco and gypsum which are harmful to health.

Raw materials were brought to their house in the Maysaloon area of the emirate and the chewing tobacco products were made in secret for sale to Pakistani nationals.

Sharjah Police received information about the two Pakistanis.

After taking legal action, they entered the house and search found a quantity of materials, used in the manufacture of 'niswar' and the machine used to produce the product.

The defendants have confessed to the crime of manufacturing a banned product and selling it to customers for the purpose of financial gain.

Defendants were arrested and referred to the public prosecution. The police seized the material and sent it to Sharjah Municipality.

Colonel Jihad Sahoo, Director of the Criminal Investigation at Sharjah Police 'niswar' contains a mix of chemicals, including tobacco, and gypsum. The instruments used were unsafe, contaminated and unhealthy.
