A 37-year-old Pakistani driver, MKS, allegedly sexually assaulted a 13-year-old boy in the taxi while dropping him home back from school, the Dubai Criminal Court.
The victim MOM, student, testified before the prosecution that on September 16 he went to the taxi after finishing the school day which picks him daily to drop home.
“Since the back door was locked, I sat in the front seat. After a little chat about the school day, the driver asked me to hold the steering in my right hand; I did after he insisted but he grabbed my left hand and put it on his private part. I left the steering wheel immediately; he repeatedly asked me to do it again but I did not respond … I was worried and confused and remained silent all the way. When we reached close to my home, he asked me to go out with him on Friday but not to tell my mother. I did not reply but he rubbed my neck and shoulders and asked me not to tell my mother about what had happened in the car,” he testified.
The boy’s mother JYA, 37, teacher, testified that her son looked worried when he arrived back home from school.
“I overheard him saying angrily that why the driver did that. I asked him why he is angry and he told me what the driver did with him. Then I got a call from the driver asking me if my son had reached home. When I confronted him with what he had done to my son he hanged up the call; then I notified the police,” she testified.
Police arrested the accused but he denied the accusation. Later he admitted that the boy was sitting in the front seat and as he was making noise in the car, he just put his hand on his lap.
The driver denied the accusation before the Court which adjourned the case till December 6.
