Teen caught with nearly one kg of heroin in stomach

Abu Dhabi airport authorities arrested a 16-year-old Asian man on charges of trying to smuggle nearly one kg of heroin inside his stomach.

The boy has just arrived in the airport when the customs men noticed he looked confused and pale during baggage search.

X-ray images of the man showed he was concealing heroin capsules weighing 828 gm inside his stomach while tests also showed he had taken drugs.

“The man told police that he had been given the drugs by a person introduced by his uncle in his home country to smuggle them into the UAE,” Al Khaleej daily said.
