An Indian worker allegedly groped a woman in a shopping mall after drinking a can of beer, the Dubai Criminal Court heard.
On May 29, at around 9.30pm, MJ, 35, Filipina employee was at the loading area at Deira City Centre.

"As I approached the lift at the loading area, I saw a man who was trying to press the lift's button. I overtook him and pressed the button. When the lift got down, I stepped towards it, the man who was behind me, groped my lower back while he was getting into the lift.

I quickly got out of the lift and pressed the button to prevent him from closing the door and going up. I called the security. They caught hold of the man until police arrived," said the woman.

MT, 27, admitted to touching the woman but claimed that was accidental and not intentional.
The court will give its verdict on July 9.
