Axed Saudi woman’s son killed in Syria same day

The son of a Saudi woman who was axed to death by an Ethiopian housemaid in the Gulf Kingdom died on the same day of his mother’s murder.

Mohammed Al Harthi was reported killed in battles against Syrian troops in the northern town of Aleppo on the same day when his mother was axed on the head her maid in the Western Saudi town of Taif on Saturday.

“As if the two had agreed to meet in Heavens. May Allah have mercy on them,” Harthi’s cousin said on her Twitter page, according to ‘Ajel’ newspaper.

Newspapers in the kingdom said the maid waited for her female employer to kneel down for morning prayers and hit her with the axe on the head eight times.
