A butcher in Egypt’s Alexandria governorate is accused of slaughtering his sister because she thwarted his sexual advances.
According to a report in Al Youm Al Sabea’a newspaper, the victim – a mother of three – returned to her family home after a tiff with her husband. It is alleged that her 23-year-old drug-addict brother has been attempting to molest her ever since.
Reports claim that when the victim’s other brother returned from their shop, he was shocked to see her run down the stairs with a slit throat. He tried giving first aid and rushed her to the hospital.
It is alleged that the women beat her brother to dissuade him from sexually harassing her and he slaughtered her in an act of revenge.
He is referred to the Public Prosecution.
