Caught on camera: Man pick-pocketing in shop

An Ethiopian man went into a mobile phone shop in Saudi Arabia and stealthily picked money from a woman’s bag before she discovered the theft and chased him.

A YouTube film showed the man quietly tucked his hand into the Saudi woman’s bag as she and two other women were busy with the shop owner.

The film, published in the Arabic language daily Alsaudeh, showed the man managed to pull out some notes without drawing the woman’s attention. He could have left unnoticed but he was evidently too greedy to go.

As he tucked his hand into the bag again, the woman suddenly felt she was being robbed. She chased him but he fled out of the shop, prompting the owner to join the chase. The paper did not say where in Saudi Arabia the film was shot and whether the thief was caught.
