Cop accused of trying to bury pregnant wife alive

A Kuwaiti policeman is facing charges of severely beating his pregnant wife and trying to bury her alive before he suddenly changed his mind and pulled her out of the pit.

Police arrested the cop after his wife reported that he kicked her stomach to abort her baby before using a metal object to beat her and dump her into a pit.

“He then started to bury her alive, but he later pulled her out after she begged him to. He took her to the hospital and left but she called the police,” 'Al Watan' daily said.

It quoted the woman’s lawyer Abeer Al Fawaz as saying the policeman is facing charges of torturing his wife, trying to bury her alive and attempting to abort her.
