A Saudi woman walked into a hospital in the Gulf Kingdom after suffering from low blood pressure but never returned to her 11 children after she went into coma for more than three months before she died.
Her brother blamed the hospital for her death, saying Noura, 45, given an intravenous injection that plunged her into unconsciousness for 102 days before she was declared dead. Her body is still in the hospital morgue pending completion of investigation into a possible medical error.
Noura left behind 11 children, who have become totally orphaned following the death of their father a few years ago, according to Okaz newspaper.
“My sister went to the hospital one morning and never returned to her children…the hospital is responsible for her death and I call on health authorities to take action against the treating doctor and the hospital,” Dhibian Al Jahni said.
