Jail chief caught smuggling phones for jailed husband

Kuwaiti police arrested a female prison director after she tried to smuggle mobile phones for her husband in another prison.

The woman was going to visit her husband at the central prison in the capital Kuwait City when she was stopped by prison guards for search.

"They found two smart phones in her possession and she admitted they were for her jailed husband," the Arabic language daily Alwatan said.
