Man tries to end life…with toy gun

Kuwaiti police spent more than two hours to dissuade a local man from shooting himself but he appeared determined to end his life.

In a last-minute attempt to prevent the suicide, the cops tried to detract the man’s attention before swooping on him and clutching the gun from his hand.

But the cops’ delight at preventing a suicide was short-lived and it quickly turned into anger when they noticed that the man was using a toy gun.

“The policemen arrested the man and took him to the station for disturbing authorities,” said the Arabic language daily Al Watan, which ran a film about the incident.
