A Saudi policeman got a speeding ticket in the Western town of Makkah although he lives in the southern region and his car has never been to that area.
Mohammed Al Malki, a policeman in the Southern Jazan province, said he received an alert on his mobile phone that he was fined SR300 (Dh300) for speeding in Makkah.
“I was shocked because I have never been to Makkah in that car. I sent the traffic department a letter objecting to the fine but they did not reply,” he said, quoted by the Saudi Arabic language daily 'Sabq'.
