Saudi schoolboy hijacks bus with 20 girls in it

A secondary school boy in Saudi Arabia seized a bus laden with 20 school girls and drove away following a mass student scuffle and nearly caused a disaster before he was caught by the police, a newspaper said on Tuesday.

The student, who was involved in the fight, took control of the bus wheel as the driver and police men were busy in ending the scuffle that erupted near a secondary school in the western town of Al Ula, Okaz said.

“He drove away at a high speed amidst screams by the school girls….a Saudi man followed him and begged him to stop the bus,” the paper said.

“He later agreed to stop provided no one follows him….after stopping, he jumped out and got into another car driven by masked men…but all of them were arrested after police spotted their car and chased them.”
