Woman lashes baby’s feet tied to hanger

A woman in Saudi Arabia clutched the feet of a newborn baby believed to be her daughter with a clothes hanger and repeatedly whipped them with a stick as the baby kept screaming of pain. The man who was filming is believed to be the baby’s father.

The Saudi Arabic language daily Sabq said authorities have promptly opened an investigation into the film to locate the couple and arrest them.

The short film showed the baby was lying on a bed inside a house in the Gulf Kingdom while a woman in the background was lashing her feet which were tied to the hanger. The man then said to the baby :”Stop it…say nothing.”

“Viewers of the film which was published in social networks called on authorities to arrest the man and his wife and severely punish them for this brutal behavior.”
