Hubby stabbed to death after other women’s SMS found in his phone

A woman was arrested and charged with murder related charges after stabbing her husband to death after seeing text messages from other women on his cell phone, according to police reports in Florida.

Plantation Police said that a mother remains in jail on murder charges.

Tyra Holmes, 26, faced a judge for a bond hearing last week, but the judge refused to approve bail.

"The police report said you were upset that your husband had text messages you had assumed are from other women," Broward County Judge John "Jay" Hurley said while reading an arrest report.

"Your husband became angry and allegedly put his hand on your forehead. You went down to the kitchen to get a knife. You raised the knife against your husband and stabbed him,” the judge said.

Plantation Police said that Tyra and her husband of two years, Michael Holmes, 35, had argued that evening inside their Solero apartment located at 203 NW 135 Avenue.

When police arrived, they found Holmes had been stabbed in the chest. Holmes was rushed to Broward Health Medical Center, where he later died.
