Wife seeks police help to break hubby's affair

A 55-year-old woman was engaged in a fight with a young 25-year-old female in a police station in Sri Lanka after the older woman’s husband befriended  the younger one.

According to a report in ‘Mawbima,’ the old woman went to the police station to seek help to reclaim her 59-year-old husband, a father of two, from the young woman.

The man, a government employee, befriended the young woman working in the same organisation as a management assistant.

When the elder woman asked her husband to stop the affair with the young woman, who was even younger than their daughter, he told his wife that he cannot forget his young mistress.

The incident reportedly took place in Kalutara North police station area.

The case was referred to mediation board after the two were released on bail by Kalutara magistrate court.
