The Department of Transport (DoT) in Abu Dhabi has announced the implementation of Mawaqif paid parking services in two new areas of the capital from Wednesday.
The first area is between Khalifa Street, East Road, Corniche Road and Street 6, with a total of 1,937 parking lots.
Paid parking services will also be extended to areas between Khalifa Street, Airport Road and Corniche Road, with a total of 614 parking lots.
Paid parking is enforced from 8am to 9pm, Saturdays to Thursdays, at a rate of Dh3 per hour for premium parking (identified by turquoise and white curbstones) with a maximum stay of four hours, and Dh2 per hour or Dh15 per day for standard parking (identified by turquoise and black curbstones).
