Reap knowledge: Mohammed

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, yesterday attended the graduation of the 29th batch of 460 students of UAE University (UAEU) in Al Ain.

Sheikh Mohammed said: "Knowledge is like one who drinks from the sea but his thirst is not allayed because knowledge is wide, deep and diversified, and the young men and women of the country should drink from the sea of knowledge as much as they can, as long as their leadership supports them, paves the way for them and provides them with all opportunities. They have to seize the available chance which might come only once in a lifetime."

Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Crown Prince; Sheikh Rashid bin Saud Al Mualla, Umm Al Quwain Crown Prince; Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Ajman Crown Prince; Sheikh Tahnoun bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Ruler's Representative in the Eastern Region; Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, other sheikhs, UAEU Vice-Chancellor Dr Abdullah Khanbashi, senior officials, members of the diplomatic corps and parents of the graduates also attended the ceremony which was held under the patronage of the President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan at the Al Ain Sports Club's indoor stadium.

The ceremony began with the national anthem.
