For the first time in the history of 'Bigg Boss' a contestant has been escorted out of the reality show by police.

On Monday, Armaan Kohli was arrested, after a complaint was filed filed by ex-contestant Sofia Hayat.

He was arrested by a 5 member Lonavla (where the shoot is taking place) city police team at 10.45 pm after long investigation of CCTV footage of the contestants.

But Armaan has been granted bail and released after last night's arrest.

Armaan has been released on a condition that he won’t do any harm to Sofia and if he does, he might be sent to jail. That’s not all. Property guarantee of two people plus Rs 50,000 (INR) surety is what it took to get Armaan out on bail.

The actor is back in the reality show. But before entering the house, Armaan was in for a shock.

Women social activists were waiting outside the Bigg Boss house and shouted slogans against the actor as soon as his car approached the gate.

They attacked his car and then pelted rotten tomatoes. The crowd gathered in front of the gate wanted to storm inside but the security guards stopped them.

Though the car went through the gate the protestors stood their ground and shouted slogans.

According to the Bigg Boss contract no contestant can be taken away mid-way from the show.

Hence, as soon as Armaan was granted bail he went back in the house.

This entry could be a big game changer for the other contestants. Either Armaan will gather immense sympathy vote as a victim from audience or he might be seen as a villain and audiences can turn their back on him.

There is at least one happy soul in the house - Tanisha Mukherjee has her Bigg Boss boyfriend and her supporter back.

The same cannot be said about Guahar Khan and Kushal Tondon, as for Sangram Singh, Ajaz Khan and VJ Andy - they remain fence sitters.

British singer-actress of Pakistani origin Sofia Hayat, who was a wild-card entry on 'Bigg Boss 7', filed a police complaint allegedly assaulted by Armaan, causing pain and trauma to her, including verbal abuse.

The team of police approached the Bigg Boss sets for an inquiry session with hot-headed Armaan.

The cops also saw the unedited CCTV footage of the day when Armaan hit Sofia with the handle of the wiper.

Sofia said that she suffers from anxiety and sometimes face panic attacks and to get rid off it she takes medicines. Armaan knew this fact and used that information against her on camera calling her a freak and an idiot.

The police had booked Kohli under sections of voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons or means, intentional insult to provoke breach of peace and word, gesture or act intended to outrage the modesty of a woman of the Indian Penal Code.
