And the winner of 'Bigg Boss 7' is... Gauhar Khan.

After 105 days of sheer entertainment, Bigg Boss 7 finally came to a grand end on Saturday. TV star Gauhar Khan has been declared the winner of Colors’ reality show Bigg Boss 7.

She walks away with an equivalent of Dh300,000 (Rs50 lakh) in cash and a trophy, and an exposure among millions of viewers in India and across the world that no amount money could have bought her.

"I thank family for support. I am big fan of the show. I did not expect to come so far...till the finale," said Gauhar, who has previously participated in two other reality shows, 'Khan Sisters' and 'Jhalak Dikhla Jaa'.

Fans and contestants of the previous seasons have been sending in messages congratulating Gauhar on her victory. Gauhar Khan was definitely one of the strongest contenders in the show right from the beginning, and joined the house two days after the launch of the show.

Rahul Mahajan tweeted: Friends I have a 100% confirm information that @GAUAHAR_KHAN is winning #BB7.

Kamaal R Khan: I declared before 4days that show has been fixed and Gauhar khan will win #BiggBoss7 and other people are telling today so they are too late.

In addition, evicted contestant and Gauhar's love interest Kuhal Tandon posted a picture of him and Gauhar, saying: Congrats jaan (my love).

After spending 105 days in the house with 74 cameras capturing every movement of the contestants in house, the finale was well received.

Over the weeks, 20 contestants entered the house with only four remaining in the final dash towards the glittering trophy.

Competing against Gauhar in the finale were: Bollywood actor Tanishaa Mukherjee, Wrestler Sangram Singh and actor Ajaz Khan. Tanishaa was the second runner up while Ajaz remained in contention till the very end.

Sangram Singh, along with the other contestants, rejected a sum of Rs10 lakh (Dh60,000) that was on offer to all the four finalists for walking away from the final race. However, he was the first one to be booted out during the grand finale, which was peppered with a host of dance sequences and skits performed by former housemates along with the finalists.

Missing in action was ex-inmate Sofia Hayat, who filed a police report of physical assault against Armaan Kohli after being evicted from the house. The fallout between the British actress-singer and Colors was stark, with Sofia boycotting the finale and the channel completely editing out any reference or scenes of the former housemate.

Nevertheless, women have come to rule the house of Bigg Boss, with Gauhar Khan emerging as the fourth female winner of the show. Previous years' women winners include Shweta Tiwari, Juhi Parmaar and Urvashi Dholakia, who won the fourth, fifth and sixth seasons, respectively.

Even this year, it was getting clearer mid-show that the final fight would be between Tanishaa Mukherjee and Gauhar Khan.
