Bollywood's bleeding hearts as Salman Khan found guilty

Bollywood actor Salman Khan has been convicted in the 2002 hit-and-run case.

After 13 years the actor has now been sentenced to five years in prison.

The much-awaited verdict has resulted in a barrage of messages and blogs from his friends and associates ranging from the concerned to simply ridiculous.

As Salman's verdict was delivered, a surprising tweet caught our attention.

Celebrity jewellery designer, Farah Khan Ali tweeted: The govt should be responsible for housing ppl.If no 1was sleeping on d road in any other country Salman wuld not have driven over anybody.

It's like penalising a train driver because someone decided to cross the tracks and got killed in the bargain. #salmankhancase

Abhijeet, the singer blamed the victims who got crushed under the wheels of the SUV.

He wrote on Twitter, "Roads are meant for cars and dogs not for people sleeping on them.. @BeingSalmanKhan is not at fault at all."

"Kutta rd pe soyega kutte ki maut marega, roads garib ke baap ki nahi hai I ws homles an year nvr slept on rd" (a dog will be killed if it sleeps on street, roads are not meant for poor people to sleep).

"Come out fraternity, support @BeingSalmanKhan boldly not hypocriticly Roads footpath r not meant 4 sleeping, not driver's or alcohol's fault."

"Suicide is crime so is sleeping on footpath..80% homeles film ppl strugld achievd stardom but never slept on footpath."

Sonakshi Sinha tweeted after the verdict: "Terrible news. Dnt knw wht to say except tht will stand by @BeingSalmanKhan no matter what. Hes a good man and no 1 can tk tht away frm him."

Karan JOhar: "I can only respond emotionally just now...my thoughts and prayers are with Salman and his family today....I wish them strength...."

Sushmita Sen: "There is an enormous difference between being a criminal and being human. True justice is then served. Keep d faith @BeingSalmanKhan."

She continued, "Prayers n strength 4 my friend @BeingSalmanKhan n his family. Harsh sentencing doesn't mean justice. Must appeal. Deeply saddened."

Parineeti Chopra seems to be very upset with the counrt's verdict: "Hurts to think of what could happen. We will always be with you. Hope the judge sees the beauty of a human being that Salman Khan is."

Alia Bhatt: "It hurts when your own are punished, even if they are in the wrong. We love you and are standing by you."

Varun Dhawan: "I won't comment on the courts judgement. But salman Bhai has the biggest heart and is the most helpful person in this industry."
